After successful completion of a 10 question exam (PASSING GRADE 75%), we submit your information to the state within 72 hours. A state approved certificate (PDF) of licensure is provided immediately upon successful completion. Please allow approximately 7 - 10 days (depending on volume) for the state to update their records. Cosmetologists, Facial specialists, Full Specialists and Nail Technicians must complete the 10 hour continuing education course prior to the expiration of their license. Anyone wishing to acquire a cosmetology, facial specialist, full specialist and nail technician license must take the 4-hour HIV/AIDs course for initial licensure, as part of their educational training requirement.

Yes, the course we provide has been reviewed and accepted to meet the licensing requirements by the state of Florida's Board of Cosmetology.

The Board of Cosmetology requires you complete your course requirement prior to October 31st every 2 years. However, if this is your first renewal, you must have your continuing education completed by the end of the next renewal cycle. In other words, you must renew prior to October 31st of the same year you receive your license. After your first renewal period, your license will renew every 2 years from that renewal date. If you miss your renewal period, your license will become delinquent.

Your license will become delinquent until you complete your continuing education requirement and pay your renewal fee to the state. If it has been 2 or more years since your license has become delinquent, it will become null and void and you will not be able to renew.

Our course is delivered in an online format. The course has no timers, and our quiz allows you unlimited attempts to pass. This makes it easier for you to stop and start your course, pass your quiz and go back and review if you need to double check an answer.

The course is online but can still be called "open book" because you are allowed to review the material at any point and can take the quiz as many times as necessary in order to pass

We will electronically submit proof of your course completion information to the state. You will also have the option of downloading your certificate after you pass. Once the department gets your completion information, you should receive your license within 30 days.
